Young Sewists Series - 5 weeks starts July 3rd

This fun course is a good start for any youth aged 9 to 16, interested in learning how to sew or continuing on from a basic skill level. 

Students will be introduced to the wonderful world of sewing through a variety of sewing skills. Each week students will take home a finished handmade creation;  finishing with a reversible, cross-body book bag that will be personally decorated and embellished.

Students will learn:
  • how to confidently operate a sewing machine
  • hand sewing techniques through a variety of stitches
  • creativy through fabric choices and pattern planning 
  • project construction and adding embellishments
  • basic embroidery stitches
  • finishing and more
the 5 projects have been designed so that each student will find success in their creative process. These skills are the beginning to a creative lifelong sewing journey...

5 sessions - every Wednesday in July from 10am to 2pm

All materials for all projects are included! and tools and sewing machines are supplied

each day we'll take a half hour break so bring along a lunch or snack
