Young Quilters Series - 4 Week Course

Our Young Sewists Series was such a great success we are excited to announce our Young Quilter Series.

For the sewing enthusiast aged 10 and up who are comfortable using a sewing machine and want to learn the basics of quilting.

You will make your own 48" x 48" Throw Size Quilt.  We will work together over the 4 weeks on the one project.  You will learn how to Hand-Tie your Quilt to finish it.

You will supply your own fabric and batting.  Once you have registered you will be provided with a supply list.

Taught by Leanne Small

Leanne grew up near the Scarborough Bluffs and became an avid sewer from her very first home economics class in elementary school. She began to quilt in her late teens loving the colours, the patterns and the creativity of quilting.
After a long hiatus from sewing while being a working mother of 3 children she returned to quilting & sewing with a vengeance about 10 years ago.

She previously taught a children's sewing class for 3 years at De La Salle school, and is a member of the York Heritage Quilters Guild.

"I love fabric! It brings me joy. I love the planning of my quilts or sewing projects and the wonderful satisfaction of sewing all the beautiful pieces of fabric together. "
