Lazy Punk Quilt Workshop - February 8th

Lazy Punk is based on a quilt pattern that was published in the Kansas City Star in 1938. Traditionally the block uses curved piecing; however Karen has created a fun and easy method to make these scrappy playful blocks. "It's amazing how all of your scraps and stash fabrics work together in this quilt." This project is a great stash-buster!  And you are encouraged to swap fabrics with the other students to give you even more options.

This one day workshop includes instruction on template options, template preparation, fabric selection, rapid fire cutting techniques, basting methods and block construction. A variety of design options for creating a cushion cover, wall hanging or full size quilt will be discussed.

The blocks can be by hand sewn or sewn on your machine. It’s your choice. The sample quilt top employs both construction methods so you can try both if you like.  If you are coming with a friend; you could share one machine.
