Learn how to machine quilt your own quilts. This is a beginner machine quilting class designed to get you comfortable and feeling in control of your machine. During class we will do a number of exercises using your machine todevelop your hand eye co-ordination. Proper set up will also be discussed to promote a successful outcome.

Sewing Machine in good working order. A machine that you can lower the feed dogs or put a cover over them (with the owner’s manual - Very Important)
Darning foot, also called a free motion foot
Thread (contrasting colour that will show up on your fabric).
Sewing machine needles. Either topstitching or Quilting needles.
Pencil & Plain paper
Ruler. 6” X 24” if you have one, or bring whatever you have.
Fabric marking pen or pencil ( a colour that will show up on your fabric).
Small craft batt (or left over batt that measures approx 36” X 40”
Cushion to sit on. If you are short bring 2
3/4 yd of a solid colour fabric
3/4 yd of backing fabric. It doesn’t have to be plain.
