Red & White Quilts!

“I love bright red drinks, don’t you? They taste twice as good as any other color.”
― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

If I had to choose, I would say that blue is my favourite colour, but there is always something about red.  Cherry red, rose-petal red, cardinal red, the red of certain autumn leaves...
I have always been attracted to traditional red and white quilts, simple yet striking, they just seem so comforting somehow.  I have yet to make one myself but it is definitely on my sewing to do list and these new fabrics that have just arrived are really inspiring me.
This new line named what else, "Red" is designed by Alex Anderson and along with the great, deep red colour on the bright, crisp white it also features flowers and vintage sewing accessories - how fun!!  Although not from the same line, I would mix them up with Gallery on Red and Gallery on Ivory just for more red fun.

Why not try sewing a Red & White Quilt yourself or until then:

"When in doubt - wear red!" - Bill Blass
