Poplin is a plain weave cotton fabric with very fine horizontal “ribs” that results in a strong, crisp fabric with a silky, lustrous surface. Because it is lightweight yet strong, this fabric it easy to work with while still providing plenty of structure.

Poplin is great for shirts, dresses, light jackets, and will work well in quilt projects.
